Get involved or contact us

This network is built by hands like yours

Give an hour or a season, open a gate, fund a connection or help govern a young institution. And whatever brings you here, one simple form reaches us all.

Volunteer

Give an hour. Or a season.

Volunteers are the association’s workforce, on the trails and behind the scenes.

  • Planting days: help establish Miyawaki mini-forests along the network
  • Trail stewardship: adopt a section, report conditions, keep it welcoming
  • Events: course marshals, water stations and welcome teams for the Trails-Giving 5K
  • Skills volunteering: mapping, photography, translation, communications, grant writing

Donate

Every gift helps our community do more for trails

Public investment supports the responsibilities of government. Community philanthropy lets you contribute beyond taxation: donations power citizen engagement, volunteer initiatives, education, events, community programs and initiatives carried out with the appropriate public partners.

  • 100% of donations serve the mission. We are a volunteer-driven organization.
  • Secure online giving through Zeffy, a platform built for non-profits with zero platform fees.
  • Charitable registration is in progress; tax receipts will be offered once granted.

Open your land

One gate can connect a region

If your property sits between two trails, you may hold one of the region’s missing links. Sharing a path is simple, protected and always on your terms, and any corridor would be developed in collaboration with the appropriate public partners.

  • You stay in control, with voluntary agreements that are adjustable and revocable
  • Liability protections and clearly defined corridors
  • A lasting legacy your neighbours and friends will use every day

Join the board

Help govern a young institution

The association is incorporated and registered since July 2026. We are assembling a skills-based board of directors to guide its first connections and its path to charitable status.

We especially welcome experience in:

  • Governance, law and non-profit administration
  • Finance, accounting and fundraising
  • Urban planning, engineering and land management
  • Ecology, forestry and conservation science
  • Communications and community engagement, in both official languages
